[UPDATE: Click here for a more in-depth guide to the APB business model]
Realtime Worlds new title APB, launching July 2 in Europe, will run on a pay-per-play model from in-store purchased copies as well as via digital download.
The standard version of the title is priced at £34.99 and includes an estimated 50 hours of gameplay out of box, plus unlimited time in the APB social districts customising, socialising and trading on the marketplace.
Beyond this, 20 additional hours of gameplay can be purchased for around £5.59, while more frequent players can switch to a 30-day unlimited package for only £7.99, with discounts available for 90 and 180 days.
The retail package also contains a bonus 100 RTW points towards later next purchases.
An additional element to the model is the ability to convert customisations and rewards to tradable products to give to friends or to place on the Marketplace to earn more RTW points (convertible to game time) or in-game cash.
will i be able to play the game with out paying fees or is that for membership stuff Ex. if i become a member i'll get access to a lot more items, abilities ext. but if i choose not to pay i'll be limited to what i can do if that is the case than i'm fine with that so can some one tell me, does the pay plan work like that ?
i would also like more info on the pay thing
but making people pay to play is just supidness
well you have to buy hours to play the game but you do get 20 or 50 hours of free time when you first get the game, its not expensive like 20 hours is 3 somthing and 30 days unlimited is $9.99 i don't know what it is in euros and socizl district is free. so its not free but its not that much to pay . PS when you buy hours it counts down only when you go online when you go off its stops counting. xD
