Long-serving staff take key roles in creation of Studio Development Group, working with founders the Olivers
UK-based Blitz Games Studios has formed a new senior management team.
The Studio Development Group includes the developer's most experienced art, technology and development personnel - they will work with founders Philip and Andrew Oliver to 'solidify the senior management team at Blitz and provide support and guidance to all the development teams'
SDG sees John Nash take the role of studio design director, working with Aaron Allport, studio art director, studio technical director Richard Hackett and studios development director Chris Viggers.
"Over the last year we have dedicated ourselves to completing the SDG, appointing some of our most talented and respected staff to these important positions,” says Andrew Oliver, BGS CTO and co-founder.
“We’re confident that we now have the strongest team possible to continue to move the Studio forward.”
The firm has also been applauding other senior staff members, with the first employee to pass the 15 years service mark - Tony Povey. Technical manager Povey worked his way through junior, regular and senior programmer positions. He is currently working in Blitz’s Volatile Games division on Dead to Rights: Retribution and is the first of four staff to pass the 15 year barrier at Blitz this year.
The firm will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary.

We’re delighted that Tony is the first of our staff to pass 15 years service and would like to thank him for his outstanding contribution, hard work and loyalty over the years.”
