New motion controller to register at ‘under one frame’
The PlayStation Move was designed to be as responsive, precise enough to handle both fast and subtle motions, according to Sony.
"The latency for the PlayStation Move is as robust as the DualShock 3 and Sixaxis wireless controller – under one frame," said Scott Rohde, vice president of product development, SCEA.
The comment was published as part of a Develop feature detailing the technical specifications of new PlayStation new motion controller, unveiled at GDC early this morning.
The Playstation move will be priced at under $100 (£47), and will be released in the autumn.
$100 is £64.49, not £47.
I expect £69.99 for the UK.
Eight Ball is correct, or was at least as its coming up for £66. I agree on the 69.99 price tag.
However I'm sure this includes the Camera and a game as well.
3 Packages were outlined.
Just the Motion controller (Dunno If game is Inc)
Starter pack with Motion controller + Camera + Game - This is the one I think they said would be $100/69.99
Complete bundle PS3 + Motion controller + Camera + Game
I dunno if they are including the sub controller (Basically the Wii's numchuck) I hope they do. If they do it would be good value for money, also including a game with just the controllers would be great to.
@ Darius
you are right about the bundles, well at least as of right now.
@ everyone
I just hope that when they sell the controller they include both the move and sub together. Other wise it wont be a right away buy for me because I dont have the money for both.
Also I hope they include a game with just the controller bundle without the PSEye because I already have the PSEye but I would still like to get a game when I buy it or again it wont be a first buy for me because of money reasons.
So hopefully Sony wont be stupid and will at least provide the controllers and game bundle for at least the first year or so and maybe even include random games in the packages that way it will get people to buy more controllers just to get another game as long as the bundle doesnt cost more than $60.
Even though Sony, because they for some reason either dont listen to the customers or just think that customers are wrong, will probably mess this up I am still looking for to its release.
