UK studio beats London teams Curve and Rocksteady to claim industry glory
They came, they drank their weight in beer, and they were quizzed - and, in the end, Splash Damage proved it was the smartest games developer in London last night.
Developer of upcoming console shooter Brink, Splash Damage triumphed over second placed Curve Studios and third placed Rocksteady after answering eight tough rounds of questions.
The sold out event welcomed 130 leading UK games developers to central London's upmarket Sway Bar. If you want to be there next time, book now to secure your place at the September Develop Quiz.
They and 18 other teams were quizzed on topics like games news, video game characters, vampires, zombies and (seriously) animal scientists. Thanks to our generous sponsors Premier PR and Train 2 Game, the night was a huge success, and everybody enjoyed themselves a great deal.
Splash Damage took home The Develop Quiz spring trophy, a £2,000 Develop ad credit and ample quantities of champagne. The atmosphere was rowdy, the difference between Pavlov's Dog and Schrödinger's Cat was settled once and for all, and a fair few business cards changed hands.
The Develop Quiz is set to return on Wednesday, September 29th, meaning you and your colleagues can come along again – or for the first time – to prove that your team are the most intelligent of games makers in the UK. To find out more about sponsorship opportunities for the next quiz contact Katie Rawlings, and for booking a table email Kathryn Humphry.

Beat me to it!
I still want a stewards enquiry...
We did pretty well considering we started with three team members and dropped down to two after the food (yeah, it was that bad).
Hey guys, I'm a student, can I add you all on LinkedIn?
Cheers!
We feel our final position did fairly represent just how bad we were.
Stuart, that filthy mouth of yours needs washing out with soap, if my dear old ma was still alive she'd have had you across her knee...
Yet another case of mistaken identity. Why do I always take the rap for Jimmy's uncouth behaviour?
Artistic licence - you loved it.
Great night and thanks to all for coming along.
Biggest and best Develop Quiz ever
Love you all
