Tell Develop if you feel Nintendo’s revolution has been properly grasped by developers

The Jury’s out.

Develop’s new weekly online feature is once again scattering emails to the development community to discuss one of the most pressing issues of the moment.

Last week we asked if digital distribution would replace physical content altogether, and the response we got back from the development community ruled that physical media’s extinction is inevitable.

This week our attentions turn to the Wii, and we want to know your thoughts.

Here’s this week’s question:

With 6m units in the UK sold, Wii is a clear leader in the home console space both in Britain and globally. But have developers been able to properly take advantage of its potential? If so – what are your experiences on the format? If not – what’s stopping you/holding the format back?

Feel free to submit your thoughts via the comments section below, or send your answer to rob.crossley@intentmedia.co.uk.

The deadline for your answers is Wednesday 6PM GMT / 10AM PST

Answers will be published later in the week. Like this.

And I would love to see a new F-Zero and Starfox game but, you can't be bad mouthing Mario! He's a symbol of Nintendo's greatness and possibly the most iconic figure in gaming history. I don't like the party games much though and there's almost as many as the Final Fantasy titles! What are they on now... Mario Party 16?

1) Up lets stop messing about with memory cards and get a harddisk on the thing. I would recommend they change the grey stand into an external harddisk/stand combo, surely its big enough to put a lap top disk into ??

Or a new Wii in new case with a hard disk.
(There is a lot on the virtual console that I would done load but I dont have the space - still)

2) Update the Interface. It needs a refresh. They need to be able to tell you wants new as soon as you turn it on not deep in the nintendo channel or shopping channel. Let have battery status for all controls shown at top, Wifi strength etc, Im sure theres many more people want..

3)HMDI output for both sound and video (nuff said)

4) Go after the dev teams and no more party games.

5) More Wii DS intergation? Use DDS as a motion tracker on FPS games? etc etc

6) If the Wii is not up to the more hardcore games then start thinging about Wii2 or a upgraded wii that is back compatible with current. IE a hardware chance like the DS keeps getting

7) Employee people to drive the on line experience, gaming, user interface, features. Im sure they have some one now but are they hiding ?

My 10 cents worth
