Creative director Mike Neumann tells axed staff: ‘we'd love to have you’
The near-200 staff let go at defunct EA subsidiary Pandemic have been invited to get in touch with Borderlands studio Gearbox for job opportunities.
Mike Neumann, creative director of Gearbox wrote on his confirmed Twitter account:
“Well, if anyone from Pandemic would like to work at Gearbox, we'd love to have you!”
Gearbox is, however, based in Texan city of Dallas – some 1300 miles away from Pandemic’s closed studio.
Pandemic confirmed on Tuesday that the studio has closed, following EA's ongoing layoff operations.
The distance from Los Angeles to Dallas is quite a bit further than 450 miles. Best of luck to all Pandemic staffers!
Nice scouting Wessmaniac, have updated the story after cross-referencing the distance figures.
I also found out that, if you ever chose to walk between the two locations, the journey'd take the best part of nineteen days to finish.

How can Pandemic be located 1300 miles away from Pandemic?
