Event adds summits dedicated to the iPhone and social online games
The GDC Advisory Board is calling for games industry professionals to submit presentation abstracts for the Game Developers Conference 2010.
GDC takes place in San Francisco from March 9-10 next year.
The GDC programme will for the first time host the Social & Online Games Summit as well as a summit dedicated to the iPhone. These two add the staple Mobile/Handheld, Independent Games and Serious Games Summits.
Event director Meggan Scavio explained that GDC’s new additions were indicative of the game industry’s furious pace.
“This year's exciting slate of summits speaks to the rapid growth of online & social network games,” she said, “and the increasing importance of the iPhone as a gaming platform."
