As revealed in a tweet by Blue Omega Entertainment programmer Geoff Rowland, the entire workforce at the developer has been laid off.
"The entire Blue Omega team was laid off today (well, starting Friday)," said Rowland’s post. "If anyone has job openings, send them my way and I’ll pass them on."
Blue Omega, which developed the recently released Damnation, has confirmed the news with Kotaku, suggesting that ‘issues’ with the game’s publisher Codemasters lead to the sackings.
Employees at the development house, who have also suggested that Damnation’s poor sales attributed to the events unfolding at the Maryland-based studio, allege that a number of lawsuits were caused by disagreements with Codemasters and two subcontractors.
A subsidiary of Heavy Hammer, Blue Omega objected to being ‘taken off’ of Damnation, and the quality of work of one of the subcontractors.
