Develop has launched its comprehensive guide to the key game changers in Lord Carter’s report
Develop is pleased to announce that the Develop Guide to Digital Britain is available now.
Having carefully read through the entire document, Develop has cited five key proposals set to reform the games industry. Develop offers analysis and opinion on each issue in an accessible, politically neutral and informative matter.
The five key issues cover:
Broadband
Classification
Development Tax Breaks
Piracy
Skills & Education
Each category features opinion from various members of Westminster, the games industry, analysts and the press, along with key quotes from the report itself.
Loving the quotes in there:
“[Games] may in future have a cultural relevance to rival that of film.”
Yes!
"The reality of this all is that it isn't going to happen.”
Yes!
Guys: Link's broken, but great stuff. There were a few things I was meaning to look into, actually. :)
Leetah's too busy today, though she agree's with Zimm's point about Quantic Dream and will be free to read this guide tomorrow! :)
Why do you keep calling me Zimm and Zumm and zmmm?
It's about time something was done about piracy. People go on about development tax breaks - which I totally understand - but I and all the people I know would rather kill off illegal game downloads more than anything else really.
Sadly, Bradshaw's plans are too little, too late.
