New tiger-based logo for UK's developer trade association
UK games development association TIGA has rebranded, Develop can reveal.
The association has devised a new, feistier logo (pictured) - one that includes a roaring tiger itself, perhaps designed to represent how the organisation has been regularly vocal and outspoken on key issues.
Develop believes that the rebrand will be officially announced at TIGA's Government summit at the House of Commons next week, where it will announce further details of a collaboration with NESTA and talk about the cross over of skills between the entertainment industries.
TIGA has been firmly focused on a variety of issues facing the games development sector including skills, financial incentives and cross-industry collaboration between different mediums.
The organisation recently helped the UKTI re-establish its grants for developers wishing to attend foreign trade shows to improve their business, and has also become closely involved with the Train2Game education initiative.
Richard Wilson took over at the organisation last year, succeeding Fred Hasson, who founded the organisation in 2001.
Well that new brand identity wasnt predictable at all, I hope they didnt pay more than $10 for it....
I think it's quite nice, I can't see the tiger though.
Oh... so it's Tiga, as in Tiga Uppercut?
If so, I've been making a fool of myself for years calling them Teegah.
I like it too. The tiger is the orange head on the left. It's side on. See it now, Charlie?
I think its a great re-brand and is long overdue. Tiga is going from strength to strength and needs the support of its industry in order to move forward apace The UK needs to regain its postion as a premium dev hotbed a reinvigorated Tiga can opnly help.
