Football Manager Live iPhone a possibility

Football Manager Live iPhone a possibility

Sport’s Interactive would ‘love’ to port soccer MMO to mobile

Speaking to Develop as part of our week-long focus on London studios, Sports Interactive’s Mile’s Jacobson has revealed that his team are interested in taking their new soccer MMO Football Manager Live to various formats beyond Mac and PC.

“We love new technology and we’d love to bring Football Manager Live out on as many platforms as possible,” Said Jacobson. “Whether we would do a full client for the iPhone, or whether we have iPhone or Android use for certain areas such as transfers, maybe connectivity could work in that way instead of doing a full game. We’re pretty ambitious about what we want to with FM Live, but we also want to keep it under our hats in case we’re unable to do it.”

Jacobson also revealed that he expects Football Manager Live to last at least 10 to 15 years. “We see FM Live as a long-term product that will change over time depending on what the consumer wants to see,” confirmed Jacobson.

I love football manager, but for me the entire live aspect just defeats the object of playing it...

I hope i'm proved wrong!

Hi! That's great news!

I'm a massive fan of the Football Manager series of games, to the extent that I even started my own website yesterday so that I can give hints and tips to "fellow football managers" that maybe haven't spent so much time playing these games as I have.

Like I said, I only bought the domain yesterday and I'm pretty new to this "webmaster" thing, so it looks a bit plain and shoddy at the moment, but the info inside is going to be all good advice, so hopefully a good design will follow shortly. :)

Best wishes,

Phil
