Overlord script honoured at WGGB's 2008 bash
British game writer Rhianna Pratchett has won a Writers' Guild of Great Britain award for her work on Overlord.
Pratchett was up against former Revolution designer Steve Ince for his adventure game 'So Blonde', Tom Jubert for the indie game Penumbra: Black Plague, and - curiously - herself alongside Tameem Antoniades and Andy Serkis for Ninja Theory/SCEE's Heavenly Sword.
The award was presented by fellow UK game writer Andy Walsh, who has most recently been working on Ubisoft's new Prince of Persia.
Well done, Rhianna. It's great to see our industry recognised this way. A worthy winner.
Congrats Rhianna, thanks for your efforts on Viking too!
Better luck next year Steve, glad to see you still kicking about :)
Rhianna...really pleased to see you're doing do well - we knew you would.
You may remember we used to live in The Cottage just across the lane from you yonks ago with all the cats you used to come and play with.
Thinking of your dad and also hope your mum's OKK.
Now living in Hove surrounded by loads of furry and feathery creatures and married to a lovely French lady - does it get any better?
ps - last job, worked with a lovely young girl - Helen Beaumont who I gathter used to go to school with you - what a small world!
