James Cameron tie-up is 'wonderful' says Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot
Ubisoft has confirmed that it is developing its Avatar tie-in games, developed in conjunction with director James Cameron, in 3D (that is, the new version of 3D display techniques, not just polygons).
At its Ubidays event in Paris, CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot said the game would be out next year - presumably alongside the cinema release of Cameron's Avatar movie, which is also being produced as 3D experience.
"We have seen it and it is wonderful," said Guillemot of the technology that is presumably being shared across the game and the film.
"I am sure you will love this new experience."
Cameron had revealed the game was in the works using 3D (Ubisoft had announced the tie-in last year), at a Microsoft conference last week.
The game is being made by a team at one of Ubisoft's France studios.
