Casual games firm to become Playrix Entertainment

Russian casual game studio Terminal has rebranded itself as Playrix Entertainment, in an attempt to 'further boost its position in the casual game market'.

Describing that the company has outgrown its Terminal Studio brand, Playrix's CEO and founder Dmitri Bukhman said: "We have expanded quite a lot and are looking to step up production, but our mission remains the same, and that is to create unique, captivating and always family-friendly games."

"The competition in the gaming industry is getting stiff. But with our experienced team of game professionals and quickly expanding distribution network we will continue to provide our audience with new outstanding games and work with even more passion and dedication. Here at Playrix Entertainment we are happy to offer you the perfect mix of talent and creativity, fun and technology."

Unique, family friendly, talent, creativity, fun and technology.
Dmitri Bukham CEO of Playtrix has really got it right. The onl
word that fits uncomfortablly with the others in 'technology'.
All the others are discriptive, 'Technology' is not. Technology is nothing more than a distributation systeem, albeit an exciting and dynamic one.
In serious / casual games computer technology offers a new way of publishing, A new way of offering brilliant games, invented or designed by brilliant people for intelligent players. People who want these games to challenge their minds,
The existing electronic games industry, know that there is money in casual/serious games, but they are badly equipted to make judgements on what might or might not appeal. Mostly theire experiance is in the 'simulator/shoot-em-up type games, for which there is (or so far has been) a good and lucrative market.
To ask the same people to make judgements about the potential of a 'serious' game is like asking Paris Hilton to offer her opinion on Shakespere.
Serious gamers probably play Chess, they know about GO, they may play Bridge, and Draughts and perhaps Chinese Chequers. All ancient and brilliant games.
If the modern move towards games that occupiy the mind is to succeed in a real way, then one might expect the modern era to come up with a game that challenges these ancient classics'
Is it at all likely that the man *****alised 'Space Invaders'
was a winner is going to be able to recognise the next Chess could be even bigger ?
I have an agenda.
I am the inventor of Tzuga the first and only 'classic' game of the modern era.
Currently I own the franchise on the modern equivilant to 'Chess'. Of course you don't beleive me. And why should you ?
But it's a fact Tzuga is the only modern game that can stand proudly alongside those ancient classics. And it has the great 'modern' advantage in that I can show you how to play it in a matter of minutes.
Right now you can find Tzuga at 'tzuga.com'. Check it out.
Excuse my dyslectic spelling.
