French developer set for American onslaught with help of Montreal International
Amusement Cyanide, one of France’s largest game development studios, is to expand to Montreal in order to penetrate the American market.
The developer, which already has a second office in Chengdu, China, is being supported in its move by Montreal International and plans to recruit 35 new staff within the next three years.
"Montréal is a logical choice. We were seduced by its dynamic multimedia sector and business community, its highly qualified bilingual workforce and its closeness to the United States. Montreal is in fact the ideal location to launch an expansion into the North American market," said Fabrice Granger, Cyanide Montreal’s general manager.
Pierre Brunet, the chairman of Montreal International’s board of directors, added: "The arrival of Cyanide in Montreal unquestionably confirms Greater Montreal's leadership in the strategic multimedia and interactive entertainment sector.”
