'Indie Developer Programme' spearheaded by mobile games publisher
Mobile games publisher Hands-On is planning to give indie mobile game developers platform to showcase wares.
The 'Indie Developer Programme' will be unveiled at an event on November 29th and 30th.
Hands-On says the initiative will 'recognise and promote the best independent developers of mobile games'.
The publisher holds up Tuna Snax as an example of how a small developer can create a hit given the right platform - its game Asteroid Zone was picked up by Hands-On and is now available through a hundred operator portals.
Eric Hobson, president and GM of EMEA at Hands-On, said: "For several years now, in addition to in-house development, we’ve working with some of the best indie developers to bring great games to a global audience. Whilst we continue to work with our current partners we know that there is a lot of untapped talent and potential in the market, which we believe deserves to be seen."
