Gearbox, Ubisoft, Pivotal and others to use foliage middleware
Five new studios have signed up to use SpeedTree RT on their forthcoming game projects.
Gearbox will be using SpeedTree for the forthcoming Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, while Ubisoft have licensed the solution for The Settlers – Rise of an Empire. Bath-based Pivotal Games’ future next-gen console and PC titles will also include SpeedTree technology, although specific game names have not been announced. Both French studio Cyanide and CITY Interactive, a Polish developer focused on value titles, will also be using the tech for upcoming titles.
