A staff ramp up means Ontario, Canada-based games studio Beanbag might move its operation to the province's capital.
The studio wants to add about 30 staff to its already 65-strong operation and is currently based in London, Ontario. The studio was formed by a team that worked on a number of licenced IP via their Sandbox Studios Canada and Sandbox Developments companies which were eventually sold to DICE (and closed when EA's purchase of the Swedish company was finalised).
Expanding, however, means a hunt for experienced programmers - and in echoing sentiments expressed by studio bosses across the globe, Beanbag president Steve Bergenholtz told the London Free Press that he was thinking of a move to Toronto to better attract staff.
"I'm in dire need of about 30 more people right now because we have more projects than we can handle. But our preference is to stay in London," he said.
Bergenholtz also implied that a dissatisfaction with the work done by London, Ontario's London Economic Development Corp has motivated the potential migration to a city that includes studios owned by Rockstar and Digital Extremes.
He added: "We anticipated more support from the city than they were able to provide."
