Opportunities thrive amid plan to relocate US arm

150 new US jobs as CCP expands

Eve Online creators CCP will hire around 150 people at its new US studio, the company has said.

The company already has a North America base in the Georgia State, which inhabits 150 developers, but that studio is planned to relocate some 15 miles to the city of Decatur.

The new 40,000-square-foot facility has a capacity for 300 workers, which CCP games aims to fill by 2013.

“Decatur offers the perfect blend of big city accessibility with a hometown feel that we were looking for,” said CCP North America president Mike Tinney.

“Georgia’s financial climate combined with Decatur’s social climate provide the ideal conditions for continued growth,” he added.

It is believed that more than 75 digital entertainment companies are based in Georgia, all fed by a pipeline of talent at over 15 educational institutions across the state.

As well as maintaining its Eve Online projects, CCP Games is working on two new IPs; World of Darkness and DUST 514.
