Attendance rates soar above expectations
The third annual Global Game Jam has concluded with some 6500 participants developing nearly 1500 games, organisers have said.
The number of entrants is way over the 5,000 expected to attend.
The 48-hour game design challenge took place over a record 44 countries, across 170 locations.
“Once again we broke our own record for the single largest game jam ever,” read an announcement on the event’s official website.
Many of the resulting games can be found on the company’s official website.
Every year the ‘jam’ takes place simultaneously in different regions across the world, from the US to Israel, to the UK, to South Korea, to Spain, to Qatar.
