OPM are working closely with a major UK Developer looking for a Product Manager for a temporary assignment in central London for approximately 6-8 weeks.

The Product Manager plays a key role within the department with responsibility for promoting first party software to UK consumers.

  • The development and day-to-day management of media & marketing plans for allocated across all formats (Blu-Ray disc & digital formats)


  • Creation and management of sales forecasts, sales curves and reporting on allocated titles taking into account historical performance and fluctuating market conditions to ensure the most accurate view of product sales potential is always available


  • Working with the UK Sales and Trade Marketing team to deliver coordinated marketing and sales forecast plans by channel to reach and exceed targets


  • Management of budgets for allocated titles from initial product forecast to final campaign execution, ensuring costs are negotiated and budgets are maintained within forecast yet are fully utilised to deliver maximum value


  • Product marketing activity throughout the product lifecycle (market & audience insight, creative brief, marketing plan, above and below the line marketing activities, post-campaign analysis)


  • Close liaison with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Head of Business Development to execute campaigns to support digital product goals – especially DLC and Season Pass targets


  • Maintaining a close working relationship with Central Marketing and external agencies to ensure the management and timely generation of marketing assets (above-the-line advertising materials through to digital executions across desktop and mobile) as well as the continual optimisation of media activity throughout campaigns


  • Acting as first point of contact on owned projects for all internal departments (Sales, Trade Marketing, PR, Operations, Finance)


  • Prudent observation of finance processes including timely PR & PO processing, on-going analysis of open POs and invoice recognition to ensure balances are closed to allow for timely re-investment


  • Continual analysis of competitive products and competitor activity across marketing, sales and PR to ensure campaigns are delivering best-in-market results


  • Utilising existing research materials and where necessary commissioning and managing bespoke research projects to ensure campaign activity reaches the desired audiences and delivers against key objectives and KPIs




  • An excellent communicator capable of building the trust and respect of multiple stakeholders from the UK and Central offices whilst able to build strong working relationships with external agencies and suppliers


  • 4+ years’ experience of product, platform or service marketing ideally within games development and publishing or within the media industry


  • Passionate about video games and interactive entertainment


  • Proven track record of delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns incorporating incisive, innovative digital creative across desktop and mobile through digital display, search and social activation


  • Numerate and incisive with data with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics, market trends and campaign performance metrics and then react appropriately to maximise impact


  • The ability to act independently with self-motivation whilst maintaining a strong sense of team identity, collaboration and coordination
