They are now looking for a Tools Technical Artist to join their team.

Overview of the job:

The role requires you to work in collaboration with the programming, and art team to define the workflow and pipelines for solutions to the artists, including any outsource partners.

Job Responsibilities:

? R&D new techniques and develop solutions to various production problems relating to the creation and implementation of art assets.
? Maintain the integrity of art pipelines by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements, including working with external artists and outsourcing.
? Support the integration of middleware solutions smoothly into the existing tools and pipeline
? Validation of art assets for technical compliance
? Creation of plugin, script, and hardware shaders to support art asset creation
? Collaborating with all disciplines develop and document pipelines and workflows for the production of art assets
? Utilise experience in game creation to help specify and design the pipelines to streamline/automate game asset creation and asset management
? Act as a bridge between the programming and art disciplines with the ability to dissect, interpret and communicate complex topics to all parts of the team.

Knowledge and Skills:

? The successful candidate should have superb, demonstrable skills, knowledge & experience in the following areas.
? Art asset management, content creation workflows and game pipelines
? Writing content creation and pipeline tools using knowledge of MEL, Python, Maya API, C#
? Strong understanding of general artistic aesthetics and how to achieve then in CG.
? Knowledge of art optimisation techniques.
? Comfortable with troubleshooting artist technical problems including demonstrated ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
? Excellent communication, documentation and organisational skills.
? The ability to give, receive and act on constructive feedback.
? Strong time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
? Ability to work cooperatively on a team spanning artists, programmers and designers, and to compromise when necessary to achieve overall best results.
? Flexibility & the ability to learn new skills over time.
