Our client aren't your typical developer. Over 30 years in the game-making business, every moment has been dedicated to kicking out one beloved title after another. They've tried all manner of new things in that time, but if there's one thing they've truly come to believe, it's the importance of having fun every single day and infusing it into everything they create.

They're looking for a Technical Artist to join their growing technical art team. Working with all Art teams and engineering disciplines, you will help define and assist in making the flexible content pipelines, work collaboratively on new cutting edge features with the programming teams, whilst always searching for ways they can improve. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Art Director to deliver games to their artistic vision.
  • Responsible for identifying and creating tools to improve art pipelines.
  • Support the Art and Engineering teams, helping to resolve technical difficulties.
  • Using your experience to identify production risks and development improvements across the Art team and the company as a whole.
  • Implement briefs provided by other teams to a high standard, delivering reliable tools in a realistic timeframe.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • A professional portfolio or technical blog.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Similar related subject or Equivalent development experience.
  • At least one full project cycle in Technical art position.
  • 2-3+ years game development experience, with experience in seeing projects from beginning to end as a Technical Artist.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine or equivalent is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of 3D graphics and rendering techniques, especially Lighting and Shading would be a bonus.
