Based in the North West of the UK, our client consistently produces BAFTA award winning AAA game titles, selling well over 180 million copies to date across all the major formats. But underpinning the success of this company is their cutting-edge and propriety in-house game engine that's constantly evolving to meet the ever-increasing demands and challenges of the next generation of consoles.
They are now seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mid/Senior Technical Artist to join their growing team.
Provide formal training for artists presenting new & existing tech as required/developed.
Setup and maintain Wiki documentation within the Environment Artist discipline.
Establish and oversee development of tech requirements for all projects.
Main link between the art department and Tech development team.
General support for artists on Shaders/Memory/Frame-rate.
Understanding that changes and amendments are part of the pipeline.
Contributing original ideas towards all aspects of the project.
Provide coaching to Artists and Junior Artists where appropriate and with direction from Head of Art.
Skills & Qualifications:
Good working knowledge and proficiency in Maya, Z-brush and Photoshop.
Good understanding of in-house tools and software used in development.
Practical and methodical approach to both technical and creative problem-solving.
Flexible approach with the ability to adapt with change.
