My client is an independently-owned studio on the outskirts of London, and they’re all about crafting engaging multiplayer experiences. They are working on several high profile projects for PC and Console and they need you!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Technical Animator you will be responsible for working with a team of animators and technical artists in developing and maintaining animation systems, rigs, tools and workflow processes.
Good eye for animation is a must.
Great communication and people management skills.
Excellent problem solving, highly motivated and proactive
Expert knowledge of Maya’s animation pipelines (layers, trax and blend editors, mocap tools)
Excellent knowledge of scripting /code systems: MEL, Python, OpenMaya API.
Familiar with game engine animation systems: Unreal, Morpheme, Unity
Experience working on AAA PC or Console videogames
Have a relevant portfolio demonstrating and showcasing examples ingame animation features, prototypes, tools and rigs
Plan, build and maintain their internal animation tools and pipelines.
Assist with planning, implementation and development of editor and gameplay animation features.
Develop and maintain the rigging/skinning of a varied selection of humanoid characters as well as creatures, vehicles and props.
Experience working with mocap data
Facial animation setups
Knowledge of programming languages like C++ or C# is a plus
