Our client is looking to add to its family of staff. They are looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will oversee HR and will work closely with the management team to develop and implement a high-quality HR strategy to ensure we have a high quality, efficient, professional, team that is well treated, supported, looked after, and motivated.

 

Responsibilities:

Maintain and continue to grow a high quality, efficient, professional HR service – line manage the HR Assistant.
Works to progress the studio values of being professional, efficient, delivering quality and treating people well.
Working closely with the Senior Leaders Create, develop, and then successfully implement the studio’s HR strategic plan ensuring everyone is aligned in its vision.
Partner with affiliates central teams to leverage best practices around L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Business Continuity, Legal and Business.
Ensure the HR function is legally compliant in all areas of responsibility.
Maintain and proactively identify ways to improve the overall studio culture.
Ensure the health, well-being and behaviour of all our staff are of excellent quality.
Responsible for professional advice, guidance and support of all performance management, grievances, absence, maternity/paternity, etc.
Maintain, manage and proactively identify ways to improve all the HR policies and procedures.
Manage all remuneration logistics and local payroll approval
Manage staff attendance, absence and holiday systems.
Support annual and quarterly performance reviews.
Maintain and update the staff databases.
Manage all on-boarding, Probation periods and off boarding processes.
Manage all benefits and supporting staff incentives.
Partner with US and UK based Corporate functions.

 Requirements:

Proven HR manager – proactive and results orientated.
Previously worked in a creative business is a plus (but not essential).
Proven ability to operate, influence and collaborate at all levels within the organisation, particularly senior management.
Skilled and experienced people manager.
Confident, friendly, supportive, style of management.
Experienced and skilled communicator.
Understanding of current legislation and HR compliance.

Desired Skills:

Strong passion for gaming is a must
Experience working in fast-moving development environments; the ability to alter course during the journey
Experience defining, designing, implementing, and supporting production process for creative software teams
Able to manage within a functional matrix structure, effectively communicating to a variety of partners, decision-makers, and interested parties
Familiar with dynamic company structures, with an entrepreneurial spirit
Able to think outside of the box and suggest innovative solutions for the benefit of the business
Able to apply common sense to problems and solutions rather than relying on strict procedure
Must foster professional and effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels
Must be able to communicate effectively, honestly and tactfully, both verbally and in writing in public communications, in front of groups, and through Executive level summaries
Key Collaborator, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties
Must meet objectives while working independently in a highly demanding environment
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Meticulous attention to detail including proofing;
Ability to take initiative using own discretion and skills and work with limited supervision but contributes effectively to the wider company benefit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident communicating at all levels within the organization;
Must be discreet, diplomatic and treat information within the department as highly confidential
