Our client is looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join the team in their Brighton studio. The dynamic studio is founded on a wealth of traditional game development experience, blending a bunch of people who are talented and passionate about making the best free to play games.

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will be working on gameplay across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, tvOS, Amazon) using the Unity engine. Working very closely with designers, artists, other programmers and the technical director you will solve the many challenges involved in creating a high quality and performant user experience in the most efficient manner possible to release in the desired time frame.


  • Implementing all areas of the game application, including (but not exclusively) gameplay, player controls, game simulation behaviours, AI, meta-game behaviour, user interface, visual effects, audio effects, analytics hooks, social hooks and in-game purchasing
  • Designing and writing code in a maintainable and easily updatable manner, ready for post-launch updates in response to customer feedback
  • Writing tools where necessary to empower artists and designers to make the game as much as possible
  • Be responsible for the performance of the game, both frame-rate and memory usage
  • Be actively involved in design discussions


  • Strong technical design and code skills, preferably in C#, though strong C++ experience is fine. Unity experience desirable but not essential
  • Broad experience of all areas of game development. Preferably demonstrating ability to make an entire game
  • 3+ years of console, iPhone and/or Android development experience
  • At least 1 title developed from start to release, having gone through full QA cycle, and preferably beyond to post-release support developing updates or DLC
  • A passion for making mobile action games and exploring new ways of making games
