 Opportunity to join the world of Casino gaming with a truly global business with offices accross the world. The role of the Quality Controller will be to assist in the planning and carrying out the quality control functions and activities set by the Company across both the manufacturing and software development departments. Responsible for driving all processes and procedures from ‘Goods In’ to ‘Goods Out’ needed to successfully deliver products to customers, working effectively as part of a team responsible to the Director of Quality Assurance. The Quality Controller must be flexible in location (Initially Stoke focused with York and a global scale in the future) to assist in the assessment of suppliers/teams where needed. Initially, this role will be hands on with the scope to develop into a more managerial role in the future. Responsibilities and Duties As Quality Controller you will be responsible for undertaking monitoring, analysis and reporting of project Quality performance & KPI (Key Performance Indicators), identifying trends & implementing any actions identified To undertake routine inspection duties (including visual & dimensional checks, patrol inspections & AQL sampling) and complete associated records To assist in problem solving and prevention of non-conformance, through investigation and analysis To assist in the preparation of Workmanship standards and instructions To work in an efficient, pro-active and effective manner to the requirements of company policy and procedures To compile and prepare and accurately maintain a variety of standard operating records and reports The main duties will include setting QA compliance objectives & ensuring that targets are achieved Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers Ensuring compliance with national & international standards & legislation Considering the application of environmental & health & safety standards Agreeing standards & establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply Identifying relevant quality- related training needs & delivering the training Ensuring tests & procedures are properly understood, carried out & evaluated & that product modifications are investigated if necessary Bringing together staff of different disciplines & driving the group to plan, formulate & agree comprehensive quality procedures Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data & producing statistical data reports Attain/maintain ISO certification where agreed with Director of Quality Assurance Required Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate will possess a Degree and Chartered Quality Institute certification or equivalent Alternatively, operated at previous senior/hands on level Extensive quality leadership in an engineering/software/manufacturing environment Must be capable of maintaining robust failure analysis methods, reliability calculation competence & have strong analytical skills To apply please get in touch with stig.strand@amiqus.com or call 01925 839720
