Our client is one of Europe?s leading games developers, whose aim is to produce innovative videogame products of the highest quality on a range of formats covering Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii, PS Vita, Facebook & iOS as well as online.
They are now looking for a QA Manager to join their team.
A proven track record of managing a busy QA team is essential, with experience across multiple titles and gaming platforms, including mobile and console, and full start-to-finish development testing cycles. Excellent communication skills are required to provide constructive feedback to the development teams, with a keen focus on delivering quality products on time.
? Overall responsibility for all QA testing for Rebellion?s diverse product range
? Lead and manage 5-10 internal QA staff and liaise with external publisher QA as required
? Manage multiple concurrent products, developing test plans and QA schedule
? Estimate QA tasks accurately, scheduling and managing QA resources effectively to ensure all technical requirements are met, products are released on time and to the highest quality
? Provide QA risk analysis to production teams
? Lead by example, getting involved in day-to-day testing and taking lead QA role on specific projects
? Support, train and develop QA staff, taking part in interviews and reviews
? Excellent leadership, management and organisation skills with a hands-on approach
? Great eye for detail and strong analytical skills
? Good understanding of game development, software testing methods and bug testing and tracking software, eg Mantis, DevTrack
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly clear and accurate verbal and written language, contributing to good working relationships throughout Rebellion teams
? Self-confident and motivated, able to cope well and act decisively and sensitively under pressure
? Strong initiative and problem solving skills, able to troubleshoot and think outside the box
? Determined to make both a great game and a great work environment, with a genuine passion for games of all genres and for testing itself, pushing quality as far as possible
