We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Softlines Licensing Manager for a global kids and family entertainment company. This role will see you support the VP Brand Licensing & Retail UK in maximising the generation of revenue from the company?s brands/properties through sales of licenses and to grow successful retailer relationships, processing smaller deals from initial stages to closure. This role will support the whole kids licensing portfolio including Tree Fu Tom, Strange Hill High, Rainbow and Danger Mouse.
?To build upon existing licensing programmes by identifying new partners including manufacturers, promotional partners and retailers.
?To build key relationships internally with Production, Legal, Finance, Marketing (Brand and Retail Managers), PR, Home Entertainment and externally with retailers, manufacturers, promotional clients and agencies.
?To deliver on revenues, gross profits and manage expense budgets in order to achieve yearly targets.
?Preparing pitches and presenting materials for concepts to clients.
?Gain approval for key elements of the annual business plan for the UK.
?To continually monitor licensee performance and hold bi-annual updates with licensees (with and without VP)
?Ensure relevant up to date information flows between licensees about Productions.
?Attend all relevant trade shows.
?Assist with input on internal marketing/sales materials.
?To support the VP Brand Licensing & Retail UK in varied activities, including collecting, researching and recording information that forms an up to date target list of potential licensees or category development.
?Manage 3rd party brands as a ?brand champion? for UK only brands when required.
?To assume responsibility and management of specified licensing deal fulfilment, ensuring all rights are cleared before the deal is closed.
?To be the primary deal maker and project manager for softline categories including textiles, paper-based products, publishing, food, non-plastics and other categories to be agreed with VP of Licensing.
As the successful candidate you will have a wealth of experience in licensing environment, across a range of categories and brands and be used to pitching brands and products to retailers. Ideally you will have previous experience in proactively managing relationships between third party licensees and content owners. We are looking for someone who has fantastic interpersonal and relationship management skills and who can work to tight deadlines while managing multiple deals simultaneously.
