The School of Engineering and Built Environment wishes to appoint a further Lecturer in Software Development to join its Department of Computer, Communications and Interactive Systems. The Department brings together an exciting blend of skills and expertise in the development of software, electronic systems, and digital media and is seeking additional engineers and advanced practitioners.


For this post we are particularly interested in individuals with skills and expertise in some of the following areas: Java, C# and C++ and associated tools and IDEs; Web Technologies such as HTML5 and Javascript; Mobile software development on platforms such as iOS or Android; Software Development frameworks; Modern Software development processes such as Agile, SCRUM and RUP; Video Game Graphics using Direct3D or OpenGL; experience with a Game Engine such as Unity3D or UDK and Game Artificial Intelligence.


Applicants should also have substantial relevant industrial experience working in a technical role.  Experience of applied research or systems development, and a strong personal desire and commitment to engage in teaching and delivering research and/or consultancy/CPD services are essential.
