Lead Programmer / Technical Lead (Game Developer on a much loved and respected Global I.P.) – Germany – Salary up to £60+ plus benefits As technical lead, you are in charge of the technical realization as well as quality management and the conduction of our products. This includes coordinating a team of programmers and taking responsibility for the technical implementation of PC / Console and online games. As a specialist in your field, you are our internal contact person for topic-related questions. Also, as an executive employee, you will be responsible for leading your team, which involves both the factual and the disciplinary aspect of team leadership. Your tasks: • Defining and prioritizing tasks, based on design specifications • Scheduling programmers' tasks according to their respective skills • Estimating the amount of technical work to be expended • Identifying, monitoring and confining technical project risks • Greenlighting your team's technical milestones • Close collaboration with project management • Active participation in coding Requirements: • Several years of experience in game development, preferably PC and online games • Several released products • Experience in working with the Unreal3 engine • Well acquainted with Visual Studio, profound C++ skills • Excellent knowledge in development environments, standards and technologies such as OOP, Software Design Patterns, UML … • Experience in code and data optimizing in order to improve performance and memory usage • Good knowledge of unit tests and profiler tools (such as Telemetry, Understand or AQtime) • Profound mathematical skills (linear algebra, trigonometry …) • Unity3D- and C#-skills are a plus • You are a problem solver who stays cool even when dealing with a high workload • High affinity to games, internet and multimedia • Fluent in English For further information or to apply to this role please email contact Lee Burns on 0044 1925 839 722 or email me on lee.burns@amiqus.com
