Job Title: Lead Artist

Location: Oxford, UK

Salary: Depending on experience

My client is seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic hands-on Lead Artist to lead the art team on one of our exciting new projects.

OPM’s client is a long-standing independent developer-publisher with a broad portfolio of titles developed for most gaming platforms past and present.

Recently they were proud to show off our latest technology with the release of one of the very first VR games to be show-cased for Sony’s PlayStation VR.

This is a truly exciting opportunity to have huge creative influence over forthcoming game titles.

In addition to demonstrating strong aesthetic flare and vision, you will also need to work closely with the development team, ensuring that artwork is supporting the design process, is technically compliant and is respecting the project’s schedules.

You will guide a dedicated team of environment artists as well as having access to many more artists with other specialist skills and knowledge.

Previous professional games industry art experience is required including time spent in a senior or lead role. Having completed a full production cycle on a published game title would be a bonus. Please include a link to your portfolio of examples demonstrating outstanding visual and technical ability.
