Are you looking for your first job in the games industry or looking to develop your current programming skills? A Dundee based Developer are currently looking to expand their studio due to the increase in their international client base. As the Junior Programmer you will be developing revolutionary apps and games that users can customise and play with. Their apps have already received huge number of 5 star ratings in the App Store. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Programming in addition to exceptional maths skills. If it relates to interaction, player feedback or progression, then you will either have ownership of, or be contributing to, these areas across multiple titles for the organisation. You will be joining a highly skilled team of individuals all who build the foundations of this great studio. You will be programming key elements of the user interface and interaction systems, writing associated libraries for core mechanics, and be a custodian for balancing, tweaking and fine tuning. Requirements • Passion for developing high quality apps and games • Fluent in at least one of the following C++, AS3, C#, Java and an understanding of Object Orientated Design / Programming (OOP, OOD) • Strong Maths Understanding • At least 12 months experience in the Games Industry (this could be sandwich year during University) • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, any Games Programming subject or similar Desired but definitely not essential • Experience of working on Android or iOS Platforms • OpenGL or Direct X experience • Games released onto the App or Googleplay store • Examples of work in the form of source code or an online portfolio • Experience in one or more disciplines of programming would be a bonus Please note the client cannot sponsor Visa’s for non-EU citizens If you are interested in hearing more about this position please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
