Jobs: Server Programmer

Renowned and award winning games studio based in the Midlands are looking to recruit and experienced Server Programmer.

It is essential that you have the following skills and experience
Knowledge and experience developing maintainable, scalable, secure and robust web service applications using Java or Python with SQL databases
Strong experience with X/HTML, CSS and JavaScript/AJAX
Excellent knowledge of relational databases (awareness of NoSQL would be beneficial)
Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility and usability
Able to work with a variety of web APIs (particularly RESTful, JSON, XML-RPC) and able to use disparate technologies to deliver products rapidly

Nice to Have’s
Experience of cloud-based server solutions, such as AWS, Google AppEngine, Rackspace
Working knowledge of PHP and LAMP stack
Experience of server hosting, management and configuration
Proven experience of building websites on both the front and back end
Professional attitude and work ethic
Thorough approach to problem solving and able to function independently when required
Needs to be comfortable working to deadlines
