?OPM are collaborating for the first time with a top Stockholm based developer looking for a Programming Specialist to join the team.

 

In this challenging role you will need a technical understanding of a wide range of game genres, supporting the Brands and Production Department.

 

This team is responsible for providing expert feedback on the studios many products – developed in-house or by external partners.

 

You will investigate aspects of the products that are outside the scope of what Brand Managers, Producers and QA can do. This may include things like source code and build pipelines for programmers, asset production methods for artists and monetization systems for designers.

 

You will also be on hand to help facilitate communication between stakeholders by providing a channel for technical discussions that often doesn’t exist in the Developer-Publisher relationship.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES

Evaluating both Developers and Products from a technical perspective

 

Providing Actionable Itemized feedback appropriate to each project’s phase of development

 

Ensuring that Code and Data repositories from external developers are complete and usable; replicating the original development environment from submitted assets

 

Assisting in Risk Management and Post Mortems

 

Providing solutions to challenges within your subject matter field

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Extensive experience as a Gameplay Programmer, Generalist Programmer and/or Tools Programmer

 

Proven track record multiple shipped games in any of the above capacities

 

Strong working knowledge of either C++ and C#

 

Working knowledge of multiple engines/development environments (Unreal, Unity…), expert-level knowledge of at least one

Strong social skills; able to communicate across disciplines and cultures effectively

 

Excellent grasp of spoken and written English

 

Experience of a wide range of platforms, like PC, Consoles, Mobile, Browser, Arcade, VR – the more the better

 

Interest and understanding of Game Design

 

Interest and understanding of Production / Administrative work

 

Teaching/lecturing experience
