OPM are delighted to be working with this London studio to help them find a new Analyst to join their team.
They aim to make the best mobile racing games in the world. The launch of the game is just the start. They use player feedback and most critically player data to figure out how to make each game the best it can be. There are so many opportunities to identify insights in the data that they can’t keep up – and that’s where you come in.
Your main role will be to figure out what the player data means and what should be done about it, while also augmenting the analytics stack to make analyses more powerful and efficient. You’ll be helping assess and optimise marketing campaigns to maximise profitability, and getting involved with in-game economy design in their forthcoming titles.
Designing and analysing control-based experiments on in-game parameters
Analysing player data to identify problem areas or missed opportunities
Working with game designers and engineers to solve design problems
Building models to estimate performance where tracking is either missing or not possible
Building a dedicated database to bring together our marketing spend and return data
Experience in an analytical role in either games or e-commerce arena.
You’re deeply comfortable with numbers. Your instinctive approach to any problem is to quantify it first. Your analysis has led to quantifiable improvements.
Curious – driven to discover underlying explanations of things, just for fun
Excel mastery – ever used multi-line formulae, or automated a data import/export? Great!
SQL confidence –experience with front-end use and back-end development would be handy
Being a gamer would prove a huge advantage, particularly if you have ideas about what makes games fun
You might enjoy communicating your findings with great data visualisations
Experience in statistics, modelling, or other such generally useful data techniques
