A great client of ours ? NCSoft ? is looking for a French Editor to join their Brighton based team on a 6 month contract, working specifically on their universally acclaimed MMORPG Guild Wars 2! Whether you?re a human defender of Kryta, a magical Asura utilising your knowledge and skill or an adventure seeking Sylvari, if languages are your passion then this could be the right story for you!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to become part of a multicultural team and to work in a creative environment filled with friendly and talented individuals.

Much like in GW2, NCSoft offers flexible, fast-paced and dynamic surroundings. It will be your responsibility to work closely with the internal localisation and QA team, external localisation vendors and my client's development studio. You will ensure that localised in-game assets always meet high-quality AAA standards!

? Detail-orientated and quality focused review of all localised in-game text, whether translated in-house or externally
? Creation and maintenance of glossaries and style guides
? Review and supervision of voice over recordings and castings
? Close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, including regular terminology and workflow discussions
? Reporting of bugs in-game and inconsistencies or mistakes in glossaries
? Ensure consistency with the glossary and style guides between the game and other projects as well as technical requirements
? Provide linguistic feedback and advice to related stakeholders
? Coordinate and plan localisation handoffs and reviews
? Adhere to linguistic, cultural and industry norms in the translation for all requests

Key capabilities:

? Be a fluent speaker of French and English (additional languages are a plus)
? Manage change in workload and priorities by re-scheduling tasks to accommodate those changes
? Work effectively in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
? Inform management early when problems occur and assistance is needed
? Accommodate and adapt to unexpected changes
? Use tools provided for in-game testing, bug tracking, reporting and scheduling
