My client, one of the UK's most creative and stable game developers, is currently looking for an Experienced Track Designer to join their team. Having been developing games since the early 2000s they have assembled a talented team of over 230 staff and are looking to grow even more with opening another UK based studio. They have developed a series of successful titles across all gaming platforms for partners with more recent titles being launched on the Xbox One and PS4. 2017 is guaranteed to be their most eventful year!
They’re looking for an Experienced Track Designer to join their East Midlands design team to help with an exciting new racing title.
Work with the team to concept ideas for new track layouts and features
Ensure your track design encourages and rewards use of core game mechanics
Actively seek out feedback to refine your designs
Relentlessly iterate upon layouts until they deliver the best possible racing experience
Collaborate with code, art, animation, and audio teams to implement your track
Set up and script additional events on and around the track
Mentor other designers producing track designs and setups
Experience working on a released racing title, including designing and building racing tracks
A clear understanding of racing mechanics
3D modelling skills with packages such as 3D Max and Maya
Proven experience building levels in a modern editor such as UE4 or Unity
Experience with the Agile development process
Experience mentoring designers
