OPM are working with an innovative studio whose mission is to make new realities possible. These realities will enrich the human experience, underpin superior decisions, be the foundation for new businesses and create insights into how the universe works.
Their first product is a distributed operating system capable of producing consequential, persistent simulations at unprecedented scale. It is being deployed in many progressive game studios and the most critical government institutions across the world.
They are a British technology company with an internationally diverse workforce, unified by their desire to achieve extraordinary things. Fulfilling their long-term vision requires solving some of the most interesting and difficult problems on earth; the journey to new realities provides continuous progression and development opportunities for their world class problem solvers.
This is a key position in their ‘Games’ division; focussed on managing and developing all of the software engineers across the division. Their engineers in ‘Games’ work in one of three areas; building and maintaining the games SDKs, working with partner studios and developing community content and demos.
As a leader, you will become responsible for the pastoral care of these engineers, helping them to grow in their careers and ensuring their day to day happiness. They also envisage that you will work to ensure alignment with standards and processes across the rest of the engineering teams.
Growing your engineering teams will also be an important component to this role. They envisage that you will work with talent to identify and hire the best engineers possible, while helping the wider business identify their future leaders.
