The position of Devops Engineer comes with great responsibility! We need you to help our engineers work quickly, releases flow continuously and systems scale automatically. We have a lot of interesting challenges to overcome on our journey to be the worlds greatest social mobile gaming studio, you’ll be expected to get stuck in and help with everything from configuring servers to late night coding and user-testing with fans. We believe that development and operations are a team that build and support great products together, so you’ll be working closely with some of the best server and client developers around and directly reporting to a CTO with proven experience building world-class technology teams and products. Key responsibilities: • Work with the Engineering team and CTO to plan and deliver projects to support our games that can scale through extreme conditions • Identify and prioritise performance and reliability issues on all services to help protect us from failure. • Develop tools & systems to automatically deploy code changes to any environment. • Supporting 24x7x365 network operations, especially around key product events. • Taking ownership of critical issues through to tested resolution • Champion DevOps methodologies within the company with a focus on continuous improvement. • Help develop services to support our live gaming titles. Technologies: We’re cloud and mobile native, so you’ll be working with a host of technologies that are leading the next generation of internet scale systems, and you have the chance to directly influence our current and future choices. Our current tech stack looks like this, but we’re always evolving it : • Debian/Ubuntu, CentOS • Java, Scala, iOS, Android, Unity, Ruby • Dropwizard, Netty, • Redis, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Graphite, Logstash • AWS AMI, JVM • Git, Jenkins, Maven, Cloudbees, Chef Key Requirements • Passion for automated, repeatable infrastructure • Experience at scale • Demonstrated proficiency supporting and coding in Java/Python/Scala or another similar language • Exposure to cloud systems, especially AWS • Good knowledge of Relational and NoSQL solutions • Working in an Agile development environment • Good knowledge of Linux and TCP/IP network security fundamentals • Highly motivated self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment • Excellent team player, eager to learn from others and to share skills with colleagues. • A passion for open source technology, undertaking your own personal projects and learning new languages & techniques in your spare time This is a great opportunity you to develop your career with a fun, ambitious and innovative company with huge potential for growth.
