Creative director Gary Carr has left Lionhead

Long-term employee Gary Carr has departed Microsoft-owned UK studio Lionhead.

GameSpot reports that Carr was until recently headed up an eight person team in charge of new IP development. He had been with the company for 12 years.

We can confirm that Gary Carr, who played a lead role in Fable: The Journey, Milo & Kate, and The Movies, is no longer at Lionhead Studios," a Microsoft spokesperson said.

"Gary has been a great friend and colleague during his tenure at Lionhead, and we appreciate his contributions to the team. We remain focused on the development of Fable Legends and have nothing further to share. We wish Gary the best in his next venture.”

Carr’s previous employers include Bullfrog and Urban Chaos developer Muckyfoot. He was left as the most senior Lionhead developer following the departure of Peter Molyneux in March 2012. However, former Cryptic and Gazillion CEO John Needham was named as Lionhead CEO a year later.

Lionhead is currently working on free-to-play RPG Fable Legends
