CONTRACT FRENCH LOCALISATION EDITOR

My client has quickly become one of the world's premier publisher and developers of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games with offices all over the world. As a leader in the online space, my client is one of only a few publishers worldwide with the expertise, the talent and the infrastructure to successfully support multiple MMO games globally.

They?re now looking for a French Localisation Editor to work with them on a 6month contract basis.

Job description

Working closely with the their US development studio, you will be responsible for maintaining global AAA quality standards and ensuring an all-encompassing first class experience for their players. The Localisation Editor will coordinate localisation work in multiple languages and review text for a variety of media, including websites, print materials, press releases, marketing materials and support articles. Dealing with in-game content, the Localisation Editor ensures that localised in-game assets always meet high-quality AAA standards.

The Localisation Editor will be responsible for proofreading, editing and quality assurance testing of all assets provided by external agencies or by internal teams, maintaining clear and detailed localisation style guides and glossaries.

Requirements:

? Be native level speaker of French and English
? Manage change in workload and priorities by re-scheduling tasks to accommodate those changes
? Work effectively in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
? Inform management early when problems occur and assistance is needed
? Accommodate and adapt to unexpected changes
? Use tools provided for in-game testing, bug tracking, reporting and scheduling

The ideal candidate will have:

? In-depth knowledge of relevant industry tools, processes and software
? Passion for computer and video games in particular MMOs
? Well versed in pop culture references
