The role is primarily responsible for the analysis of the online gaming store with a focus on providing detailed reporting & insight to the European Store Management team.

The individual will be involved in regular Store reporting and tracking against budget, title-level and promotion-level sales forecasting, and generally delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decisions. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of merchandising and promotional activities undertaken on the Store to help define future strategy.

With strong commercial focus and knowledge of the gaming industry this individual will be required to translate the impact of business decisions into financial terms. This will be accomplished by working closely with both the Store Management & BI teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Store Reporting
- Identify online store KPIs and develop regular reports/dashboards to update Management on actual performance vs. budget
- Analyse weekly/monthly performance by territory in order to support local merchandising efforts
- Liaise with BI teams to leverage data and tools for optimal reporting & analysis

Forecasting
- Prepare regular sales forecasts for New Publish content and for Promotional Offers
- Maintain complex forecasting models in Excel and leverage those models to flag revenue risks/opportunities, identify upcoming trends, etc.

Commercial Support
-Provide financial support in order to quantify revenue opportunities of potential changes to the Store
-Prepare cost-benefit analyses (pre & post campaigns) to assess the effectiveness of marketing activities
-Develop monthly targets for key categories in order to monitor & track store performance
-Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis

Insight/Analysis
-Able to interpret large volumes of sales data and identify key consumer trends
-Raise awareness of data available by generating meaningful insight that can be both used internally/externally
-Ad-hoc insight/analysis that look to challenge the business and make recommendations to senior management

Team focus
-Strong team focus and ability to work across cross functional teams
-Able to demonstrate strong team working skills and an ability to influence others

Skills Required
-Commercial sensibility with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions
-Exceptional analytical quantitative, problem-solving, and decision making thinking skills
-Professional experience in entertainment business (Game/Film/Music)
-Systems knowledge:
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access (VBA level an advantage)
• Knowledge of BI reporting packages a plus e.g. Hyperion, Cognos, or Microstrategy (preferred)
• Knowledge of web analytics tools a plus eg. Omniture (preferred), Webtrends, Coremetrics, Google Analytics
• SQL a plus
Consumer focus
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships
Strong written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to present detailed analyses
Organised self-starter, with drive and commitment. Able to work with little supervision

Desired
-Professional experience in gaming industry and/or with gaming content (highly preferred)
-Experience of digital products
