Associate Lecturer / Lecturer posts – Games Art (2 FTE)

The University of Bolton has embarked on an ambitious enhancement agenda as a “teaching intensive, research informed” University. We are currently seeking to appoint two high potential candidates to lead and contribute to the delivery, development, research and administrative support of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, which will include the academic and personal support of students.

Relevant teaching/mentoring and games asset creation experience is important together with the ability to undertake appropriate subject specific research and /or advanced creative practice. At Bolton, we place a strong emphasis on relevant industry experience and therefore would be especially keen to hear from candidates who are able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of key developments gained from working within the relevant sector.

The University is seeking candidates with significant, demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas; 3D Modelling (Maya), Texturing, Shader Creation, Environment Art, Concept Art (Traditional and/or Digital), Asset and Folio Presentation and Employability within the sector. Further, demonstrable experience in the use of Unreal Engine, Substance Painter and ZBrush would serve the candidate’s application well.

The successful candidates would need to show a desire and ability to deliver knowledge in an appealing manner and be passionate about creating an environment in which our students can thrive.
