CityEngine: Hollywood's VFX Tool for Massive Cities

Check out the tech behind some of the silver screen's biggest locations

Come and join Escape Technology and Esri for a live demo of the latter's CityEngine 2015, the software behind blockbuster Man of Steel's Metropolis and the cityscape in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Esri CityEngine is a procedural modeling tool for creating 3D cities in feature films, commercials or TV productions. It can be integrated into pre and post-production pipelines for efficient design and streamlined modeling of 3D city environments and digital sets.

Leading the demo are CityEngine's inventor and mastermind Pascal Mueller (Director, Esri R&D Center Zurich), Matthias Buehler (Head of 3D Technology at Garsdale Design) and Dominik Tarolli (Director, Global Business Development 3D Geodesign at Esri).

The demo kicks off at 6pm will be followed by some chilled beers, ending at 10pm.

Full venue address: Jewel Piccadilly, 4 – 6 Glasshouse Street, W1B 5DQ, London
