HOW TO WIN AN MCV AWARD

The first thing you have to do is put yourself forward for one.

Lobbying for the MCV Awards is now open. On November 23rd the full criteria for each award will be published in MCV and available online at www.mcvuk.com and at www.mcvawards.com. The full list of awards can be found below.

Putting yourself, your company, or your game forward couldn’t be easier — simply send an email to mcvlobbying@intentmedia.co.uk stating which award (or awards) you want to be considered for and why you think your store, team or product should be considered.

The winners of the Special Recognition (awarded to an individual) and Grand Prix (awarded to a company) awards are decided by the MCV team, but we do accept suggestions and lobbying for consideration for these awards, too.

More information can be found at our dedicated microsite, www.mcvawards.com.

And we're often asked how the winners are chosen, so here's the background, plus key dates.

On January 25th the shortlist of finalists, selected after careful deliberation by the MCV team, will be announced.

After then, a judging panel comprised of over 100 senior execs from across the industry will be invited to vote for the winners. Their role on the panel is confidential until after the event takes place on April 18th.

The PR Team will be voted for by a panel of over 100 games media. They are asked to pick first and second choices to make for the fairest possible vote.

The Special Recognition Award will be decided by the MCV team, with guidance from all corners – including lobbying and the MCV Retail Advisory Board.

The winner of the Grand Prix Award is chosen by MCV.
