Games:EDU offers a unique opportunity for games lecturers and academics to transform UK game development education
Taking place on Thursday 20 May at the University of Abertay, Games:EDU offers anyone involved in games education the chance to meet with your peers, to share best practice from courses throughout the UK and to help shape the future of games education courses.
Games:EDU offers a unique opportunity for games lecturers and academics to transform UK game development education, coming together to share best practice and understanding with the explicit intent of not just supplying workers to industry, but truly learning to offer the best in game development education and academic understanding to students.
With a backdrop of one of the UK’s flagship computer games education centres – the University of Abertay – delegates will have the opportunity to debate new approaches, as well as interact with developers & recent graduates now working within studios.
With more progressive studios realising that no graduate will be 100% prepared to enter a studio without further specific training, it will also provide a forum for game development educators to address the criticisms leveled at them that sometimes HE standards are lacking.
