Issue of self-publishing will be explored at the new trade event held in the UK city of York.
The State of Independence is a unique event exploring the issue of independent devlopment and self-publihing.
The event has already confirmed keynote speeches from shadow culture secretary Ed Vaizey, Revolution Software founder Charles Cecil, Tag Games MD Paul Farley, as well as nDreams’ CEO Patrick O’Lunaigh.
Specific areas to be covered at the conference include various methods of marketing and emerging business models, game funding, learning from current success stories, as well as self-marketing.
The event as been established by a partnership between three UK networks; Codeworks GameHorizon, Game Republic and Screen Yorkshire.
