Stonetrip is an innovative company founded 7 years ago, with its head office in Sophia Antipolis, Antibes, France and its production site at the Villeneuve Loubet business center on the Côte d'Azur.

The company was created by Philip Belhassen and Nicolas Peri in 2003 after over a year of research and development into rendering engines and server applications for mobile terminals.

In November 2005, this research culminated in a patent application for generating real-time multimedia environment applications on servers for mobile terminals.

Philip Belhassen and Nicolas Peri's central concept was to create a cross-platform community video game.
Although there were existing video game creation tools, there was nothing available to make these natively cross-platform.

They therefore decided to develop a cross-platform technology and development kit simultaneously to meet this need.

This research led, in November 2005, to a patent registration for generating applications in a real-time environment on mobile terminal-dedicated server.

A few months later, Stonetrip Village was born. This was the first natively-operational game on computer and mobile phones.

Stonetrip Village subsequently became the POC (proof of concept) that enabled the company to demonstrate the feasibility of its technology, which acted as the basis of further development.

There was growing interest in this new development tool from video game production studios.
The company therefore decided to go beyond marketing a library and technology, creating an "all in one" 3D real-time application development platform.
This tool, based on the Stonetrip [S3D] cross-platform technology, enabled applications to be generated without any alteration, and could be used either on the web or as a stand-alone application, irrespective of its capacity or power.

The STDK (Stonetrip Development Kit) - the first version of the software - was born. Inspired by the video game design process, the STDK was a video game development platform created by developers, for developers.
The interface and ergonomics were carefully designed to make the creation process as easy as possible, ensuring that all parameters were considered.

In due course, the company established its marketing and commercial strategy and now offers ShiVa (a new version of STDK), a multimedia, interactive, multi-user, cross-platform, 3D real-time application development platform (for Windows, MacOS, Linux and iPhone, iPad, Android, Palm, Wii and PSP).

Stonetrip is a leader in its sector and has developed a production studio and a consultancy office to ensure that it can meet the needs of all its customers.

In June 2007, keen to meet developing market demands, Stonetrip released its platform in three versions: Advanced, Unlimited and PLE (Personal Learning Edition). Every user (student, amateur or professional) will find a solution to their project in one of these versions, based on their budget and requirements.

The Stonetrip philosophy is based on being in the market and helping its customers, while remaining at the cutting edge of 3D real-time development.
